Antique Stone Hand Blown Cut Glass German Beer Stein with Fancy Lid c. Description: This antique German beer stein was made in the 1890s of. Hand-blown glass with attached handle and stone-cut ornaments and facets creating a beautiful optical effect. The lid is heavy ornate pewter with a fancy thumblift showing man’s face. This type of lid is typical for the 1890s. The lid is engraved with the original owner’s initials: I. The stein is in excellent condition -there is no damage whatsoever, no chips, cracks or repairs. Please note – the glass steins are probably the only antique steins that could be used for their original purpose – they could be washed perfectly clean. It’s so nice to have a good brew from about 150 years old drinking vessel! The stein is quite impressive and elegant, standing 8.5 tall to the top of the thumblift, 0.5L capacity. Height: 8.5 in.
