° Fabulous German Mettlach lidded Stein 1028 A tribute to Beer & Wine Tower Mark. Wonderful antique Villeroy and Boch Mettlach beer mug (with the tower brand) A tribute to beer and wine: Der Reben = und der Gerstensaft, verleiht dem Menschen Mut und Kraft – darum trinke, that means: The vine = and the barley juice, gives courage and strength to man – therefore drink. Jug with porcelain inlay in the lid, 0.5 litres – The jug is in a very good condition. Measures – 7 ” to the top of the lid and about 5″ in diameter at the widest point. Condition – There are no chips or cracks, and only minor signs of use. A great Mettlach Stein! Please view pics and feel free to ask for any question. Antiques, Fine Art & Collectibles. Antique German 1/2L Stein No 557 Pewter Lidded Beer Mug Imer Massvoll Cavalier. DESCRIPTION Vintage stoneware and pewter beer stein. Stoneware 1/2 liter stein depicting a inebriated cavalier on the front with the words “Imer Massvoll” which ironically translates to moderation with the drink. There is no makers mark on this piece but it does have the shake or stein number 557 stamped on the bottom. Marked: Imer Massvoll 1/2L Marked on base: 557 A great collectible stein for your collection or as a holiday or housewarming gift idea. MEASUREMENTS Stein measures 7″ tall by 5″ wide by 4 deep and weighs 1lb 11oz. CONDITION In good solid condition and ready to display or use with a small chip from the top on the inside rim (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
