For your consideration an Antique 1800’s German Lidded Glass & Pewter Beer Stein with Hand Painted Porcelain Insert in the Lid. Beautiful concave circle designs in the glass. Bottom has a “crown” logo/symbol embossed. Something inscribed in German on rim of pewter lid. I tried to transcribe but failed. I do not read German! The painting on the porcelain insert is in excellent condition and depicts a rural mountain scene, maybe Barvaria! Stein stands approximately 7 1/4 inches tall. There are no chips or cracks, but obviously age-wear due to use and storage. Please review photos closely to confirm condition.
