Nice antique lidded German Stein. 1751 date mark near handle. I believe this stein is likely late 19th century or early 20th century based on one originally made in 1751. Good condition on this one. The characters here are executed very nicely, they are particularly realistic. The work is a bit better than on many I think. There is a short line of poetry on either side. It roughly translates to: “Put your problems out of mind, Don’t worry about tomorrow” or “Don’t worry, be happy”.
