19th c German Beer Stein, Hand Blown Glass With a Porcelain Insert To The Lid
C 1900’s and possibly earlier, a hand blown glass stein with a pewter lid depicting two gent’s in a bar, the legend reads (du seppel steh auf au ist a frische halbe) which is a roughly translated you are standing on a fresh half? Also to the front of the glass is (Zum Wohl) with wheel cut hops etc, the pewter lid has a manufacturing fault below the thumb catch, where a joint has not fully been filled, however the lid fits perfectly and is in no danger of getting worse, also wear to the base, size is 160 mm, 6.25 tall. 19th c German Beer Stein, Hand Blown Glass With a Porcelain Insert To The Lid.
