Huge 16-1/2 Tall Vintage German Made Lidded Beer Mug Stein
H u ge vi ntage German-made l id d ed bee r mug (s tein). Measures about 16-1/2 tall from the base to the tip of the lid. I ts circumference at the base (the w id est point) is about 18. And it weights a whopping 6 lbs 4 oz. Base has a West Germany & Germany stamps. Its desig n is very intricate as can b e seen in the pictures. Not sure of w hat m a t er ial the mug i tself is made of, however. I think it could be ceramic but again i’m not sure. This mug still remains in good condition. It was n’t used for drinking. It served a decorative purpose at the house (stood on the shelf for about 20 yea rs). I didn’ t see any dama ge or seri o us imperfections. Though it does have some minor cosmetic flaws such a some wear/scuffs on the handle , at the base & on the lid. There may be other minor fl a ws present as well that I just haven’t noticed. But it does require some further cleaning. I dusted it off a little before the listing but it can definitely use more. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions. Tracking will also be provided. Im a very reasonable person & will work with you to resolve whatever issue you are having with a particular item. We are all human so mistakes & oversights can happen (as well as other unforeseen issues) so I would greatly appreciate it if you give me the opportunity to straighten things out before taking any action. Up for sale is a very large antique lidded German pottery beer stein. It’s made out of thick pottery walls and has a hand painted design done in high relief depicting figural scenes throughout. The stein has an ornate tree branch handle which is mounted with a hinged pewter lid. It has elaborate detailing throughout along with a large reticulated thumb-piece. It’s in nice used condition and measures 15 1/2 inches tall by 6 1/2 inches long. Huge antique German copper lidded stein, 19th Century engraved & dated beer ewer
GERMAN COPPER STEIN A huge and imposing 19th Century German copper stein decorated with engraved foliate designs and a winged cherub above the date: 1888. This impressive jug/ewer has lovely design features such as the ribbed body sections with hand chasing, ornate handle with twisted stem and shapely brackets, large thumb latch, stylised petal rivets and the lovely engraving. Condition: Excellent usable condition, no dents and watertight. Cleaned on the exterior with a degree of patina to the underside. The lid finial has probably been re-soldered in place. Dimensions: Height: 45cm (17 3/4″) Base diameter: 15cm (5 7/8″) Spout to handle: 21.3cm (8 3/8) Weight: 1.704 kg (3.75 lb) Stock number: AC1246.
