Faust’s Own Beer Stein withLithophane Bottom Germany Blue Onion Circa 1880’s RARE
This porcelain beer stein has the German blue onion design commissioned by Tony Faust’s Oyster House and Anheuser Brewing Company. It is decorated with fire on the enamel logo for the Faust restaurant of St. Pewter lid with inlaid porcelain. Lithophane of a couple on the bottom. Originally served with Faust lager beer. Mint condition, no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. The hinged lid works well and has beautiful patina. It measures approximately 6 1/4″ tall, 3 3/4″ in diameter on the bottom. Most items that I sell are used or antique/ vintage and therefore will show age appropriate signs of wear. If an item is new, It will be noted. Please feel free to check my other listing. The German wording says: Well aimed is half hit. The mark on the bottom is the “square” version of the impressed stylized potter’s wheel, used from 1879 – 1964.
