Translates to Malt and hops make good drops. The stein is made of hand-blown glass with an applied handle and. Ornamentation surrounding the base. Finely detailed ornate pewter lid. Glass has a subtle cream huge with a slightly iridescent luster. Size is 0.5 L. Hand crafted piece of art that any German beer stein collector would appreciate. Blown amber glass antique German beer stein hand painted crest design prunts
Overall in mint condition! This is a beautiful antique hand blown, hand painted enamel amber glass stein. The body has prunts near the base, which seem to almost change color depending on light and the viewing angle – anywhere from a blue to aquamarine to a dark green. The pewter lid has a neat and detailed child/putti holding a chalice thumblift. The central image depicts a crowned eagle Prussian crest. Height: 14.5 tall from base to top of finial. Very heavy, has polished pontil, applied handle. Measures 6.5 to top of handle. I left the pewter unpolished as it has a great patina. Please examine the pictures closely as this is an antique piece and it has signs of use. Also the porcelain lid has some paint loss, there are scratches to bottom, scratches to sides, it’s old.
