Old German Regimental Artillery Porcelain Stein Lithophane
Neither of us are experts in steins, but a little research yields this info… Here is what I believe is an Old Regimental Military German or Bavarian Beer Stein with an Ornate Pewter Lid. The owner named was Reservist Gümbel from 5 Bayer Field Artillery Regiment in Landau from 1898-190? It is porcelain with artillery (with canon) scenes and rosters Gümbel’s name appears on the roster on left side… See red arrow in photo.. The pewter lid has a cannon finial and a rampant lion thumblift. There is a lithopane in the bottom and it is about 10.5 tall. In very good condition.
