German 1L Saltglaze Earlangen Song Fest Beer Stein 1909
We are offering a limited production event 1L saltglaze beer stein with heavy pewter lid. This stein was made specifically for the Frankisches Sangerbund Fest in Erlangen Germany 17 – 21 July 1909. It is in very good condition with no hairlines. There is an inside rim chip under the lid as seen in the photo. The pewter lid is very ornate as is the thumblift of a angel. The raised relief on the front cartouche of the Imperial Eagles and coat of arms of Erlangen. The 1L mark at the top center also is a dating indicator. We want you to have a very pleasant experience. Classic German 1910 Air Force Porcelain Beer Stein Lithophane
The beer stein depicts a colorful rendition of an airfield with planes and zeppelin flying above two German soldiers, while a hot air balloon is being inflated in the background. Two German text blocks appeared to be a list of German soldiers’ names. Pewter lid top has a soaring eagle and lion with a shield. A lovely lithophane of two soldiers honoring their achievements of flying with the crest or flag of their homeland is displayed. On the bottom says ” Western.. “. Measurements are 9.5 inches tall width is 4.5 inches at the base. Estimated weight is 2.06 pounds. This piece has no chips, cracks, or any damage. It is in excellent condition.
