Antique German lidded beer stein catalog no. Brown stein features a cameo harvest scene. Original pewter, hinged, glossy porcelain or ceramic inlaid relief insert. Mount strap & thumb lift are tight, secure and lid rests evenly. Interior has color variances & or stain discoloration. The image in the last picture isn’t a chip, it’s smooth! Stein measures 6 3/4 ht. Including thumb lift, capacity 1/2 L. Translated German text The juice of the grape & barley gives courage & strength to man! Antique Early German Etched Glass Beer Stein with Pewter Lid Rothenfels Castle
Antique etched glass beer stein with pewter lid. Lid has a floral decorated crest. Etching is of Schlok (castle) Rothenfels Bavaria Germany. Wear on bottom as to be expected. Someone scratched their initials into the underside of lid. Measures approximately 8 7/8 inches tall. The base is 3 3/4 inch diameter.
