Iron Cross Beer Stein Westerwald Team
A tribute to the Iron Cross Medal, this beer stein traverses history detailing each version of this honorable medal beginning with the first, created on March 20, 1813. In 1807, after Prussia’s defeat, it was forced into subservience to the French and was unable to break their bond with Napolean until, in 1812 when Napolean was retreating from Moscow, the Prussian army found an opportunity to change sides and allied themselves with Russia. Shortly after, a new medal, the Iron Cross, was created to commemorate the start of the war against Napolean. The silver print against the beer stein’s black, stoneware body creates a stunning contrast. A pewter Iron Cross appears opposite the handle and a pewter German eagle is mounted on the lid. Limited edition of 5,000 individually numbered beer steins Worldwide!
