German Beer Stein, 0.5L, ceramic, Vintage, honoring Fire Fighters theme
This stein is in VERY GOOD condition with NO chips, cracks or repairs. On the inside of the lid there is a sign of normal wear at the point of connection of the lid and the thumb lift. The stein stands 7 ½” tall from bottom to top of finial, 3 ½” in bottom diameter, weighs 1 ½ lbs. The shields on the sides of the stein read. GOTT ZUR HER DEM, NÄCHSTEN ZUR WEHR. “To The Honor Of God, To The Defense Of Our Neighbor”. EINER FÜR ALLE, ALLE FÜR EINEN. “One For All, All For One”. The imprint “164” on the bottom of the stein is more than likely the mold number. The lack of a “Made in Germany” or the word “Germany” on the bottom is an indication this stein was meant for the German domestic market. The raised relief and minor imperfections in the painting of the stein are an indication it was hand-painted. A sign of authenticity is the inside of the pewter lid being lighter than the outside. “Bumps” on the inside of handles began to be added to beer steins after. There are NO bumps on this stein’s handle. The design on the lid corresponds with the design on the stein, indicating the entire piece is intact. This is a special gift fora special someone.
