SALESMAN SAMPLE Stoneware GERMAN BEER Stein STUDENT CAT GES GESCH 030 Ca. 1880
It is a figural “Student Cat” mold design. It is stamped GES. 030 on the bottom. 4″ high x 1-7/8″ dia. I did some research and it appears this piece is circa 1880. This old piece is in amazing condition. The only minor issue is a glaze flake on the bottom rim approx. 1/8 wide (under the cat’s left foot). CRACKS, HAIRLINE CRACKS, OR REPAIRS. It has the usual manufacturing characteristics found on OLD salt glaze / stoneware i. Pits, pops, glaze skips, rubs, runs, bubbles, glaze separations, staining, crazing, and wrinkles & lines in glaze. PLEASE VIEW PICTURES CLOSELY FOR DETAILS & CONDITION AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. Guaranteed OLD & AUTHENTIC and NOT A REPRODUCTION. Antique Porcelain WWI 1912-14 Regimental Pionier Burger Lithophane Pewter Lidded German Beer Stein 0.5L 12 Height. HOCH LEBE DER RESERVEMANN. Full color with roster list and pictures of the K. Ingolstadt, 1912-14 with a picture of the Bavarian King Ludwig III. Lithophane of a Fraulein (German Lady). Stein Size: 0.5L. No Cracks, No Chips, No Hairlines, No Repairs. Bottom of the stein has some darker markings on the white porcelain from standing on display (see pictures).

“New Orleans – Gators, Oranges & Cotton”. German stoneware, relief, 1/2 L, inlaid lid. By Marzi & Remy. Condition and Description: Overall in excellent condition, only knock, there is a factory firing line on the top of the inlay near the edge (the line does not extend to the interior of the stein – exactly as pictured). This is a curious stein sporting multiple alligators, oranges & a man with a large basket of cotton on the front – this stein has great presence and displays well!
