Antique German Regimental Beer Stein. Hessen Hussar Regiment #13 Mainz c. 1900-03
Antique German Regimental Beer Stein Hessen Hussar Regiment No. Description: Original regimental (Reservisten) stein. Belonged to Hussar Rehbehn from Hannoverisch Hussar Regiment No. Hussars were light cavalry units in German Imperial army. The stein is very typical for the mid-1890s Regimentals with pedestals and massive non-figural lids. Made of hard porcelain with lithophane in the bottom showing a courting couple in a tavern. This particular litho is not very common. The stein is in excellent flawless condition, no chips or cracks, no lithophane crazing no repairs, lid sitting tight. The finial is slightly pushed down. There is some age-related fading to the side text, but it still reads for the most part. It is large and impressive, staying at 9 tall, 0. Please note – this is original authentic regimental stein from the period. I guarantee my description and dating. Condition: Excellent w/some fading. Finial slightly pushed down.
