This listing is for the vintage lidded German Beer Stein shown. It is cobalt blue grey salt glazed stoneware. It is approximately 6 inches high (1/2 liter), has a pewter lid with fantastic deeply embossed graphics on a dark cream base. The front of the stein is painted with an anchor and “Ludwigshafen”. Ludwigshafen is a city in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, on the river Rhine, opposite Mannheim. With Mannheim, Heidelberg, and the surrounding region, it forms the Rhine Neckar Area. In EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION with no significant chips, cracks or crazing found. The lid has some scratches. Please check out my store for a large selection of steins from our collector’s corner.
