This etched beer stein has been made in Germany in 1890 by Mettlach Villeroy and Boch. This stein has been created by F. Stuck and introduce us to poem “The Trumpeter of Säckingen”, written in 1853 by Josef Viktor von Scheffel. Lid has been repaired, it has small hairline, works fine without problem. Second in set of three, with Nos. 2007 and 2009, based on a poem entitled “The Trumpeter of Säckingen”, written in 1853 by Josef Viktor von Scheffel, which tells the story of a love affair between a trumpeter and a baron’s daughter. This model has been made with three lid inlays were interchangeable on this series and may depict either “Jung Werner” (the trumpeter), “der Freiherr” (the baron), or “Margaretha” (his daughter).
