It is a figural “Student Cat” mold design. It is stamped GES. 030 on the bottom. 4″ high x 1-7/8″ dia. I did some research and it appears this piece is circa 1880. This old piece is in amazing condition. The only minor issue is a glaze flake on the bottom rim approx. 1/8 wide (under the cat’s left foot). CRACKS, HAIRLINE CRACKS, OR REPAIRS. It has the usual manufacturing characteristics found on OLD salt glaze / stoneware i. Pits, pops, glaze skips, rubs, runs, bubbles, glaze separations, staining, crazing, and wrinkles & lines in glaze.
