VINTAGE 1952 USC TOMMY TROJAN WEST GERMAN BEER STEIN. University of Southern California West German 1952 Beer Stein. This stein features Mudd Hall and Tommy Trojan as well as the USC school crest. The paint, including the gold embellishment is in great condition. Although, if you look at the beer stein from a certain angle with the right lighting, then you. Can see some tiny cracks that I believe are underneath the enamel. In these places, the enamel is smooth. I could only find one chip at the base, just below the word Mudd. It is fairly small – about 1/16 of an inch. There are some other flaws on the beer stein, but they appear to have been there at the time of its manufacture. There are some smudges on the lid, that might be able to be buffed out, but I’m not sure. The lid is also slightly loose, but the looseness does not seem to take away from the integrity of the beer stein. The beer stein measures 8.75″ tall by 3.75″ wide at the base.
