Antique German Patriotic Pewter Beer Stein/Server Kaiser Wilhelm I c. 1880s
Antique German Patriotic Pewter Beer Stein/Server Kaiser Wilhelm I c. Presented is a fantastic monumental German beer stein/server made in relief technique dedicated to the unification of Germany. It is made of thick heavy pewter with the body, handle and the lid made in sculptural picturesque way to hail German spirit. The front panel shows a carriage in Roman style with the Kaiser (Emperor) Wilhelm I driving it. In the back of the carriage sit German statesmen – Otto von Bismarck and Helmuth von Moltke, the architects of the creation of German Empire in 1871. Next to Kaiser is his son – Crown Prince Friedrich, the future Emperor Friedrich III. Next to the carriage we can see Emperor Charlemagne on a horse – the founder of the Holy Roman Empire. In front of him is a figure of an ancient German warrior, maybe Odoacer or Teodoric, or just a not specific ancient German warrior. On top of the whole scene is Nike – the winged goddess of victory. A group of three Cupids is flying near Nike. The rest of the body shows Coats-of-Arms of all German lands, cities and regions to show the significance of the Germany united in the Empire. The lid is toppled with the German imperial crown and the Prussian Eagle. It is engraved with a presentation inscription indicating that the stein was a gift to Herr Registator Kuekelhahn for his 25th jubilee working for the urban construction department. It was most likely created to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the unification of Germany in 1881, and the presentation inscription was made much later. I have included in my photos pictures of Wilhelm I, Friederich III and also Bismarck and Moltke. You can see that the relief portraits on the stein are made with excellent details and likeness. The stein is in an excellent condition with some minimal age-related wear but no structural damages, losses, or repairs. Original German Regimental Cavalry 1899-1902 Lithophane Beer Stein! Wilhelm II
This unique beer stein is a one-of-a-kind piece of history, featuring lithophane imagery and a design that has been crafted to perfection. Made in Germany during the late 19th and early 20th century, this lidded stein was created to commemorate the regimental cavalry of the time and says something about Kaiser Wilhelm II within the names written (see photos). With its intricate design and sturdy construction, this piece is a must-have for any collector of breweriana or German memorabilia. The stein is in excellent condition and is ready to be displayed in your home or added to your collection. Under a loop magnifier, you can see the skill in writing the names on the stein. This stein is 0.5 L and is 11 inches tall including the lid. NO cracks or blemishes anywhere (very tiny flea bite on the underside base that I didn’t see until I put a loop on it) Also the lid is a bit loose and doesn’t quite align with the mug, but can be done with an expert that knows more about these steins. Antique German Pewter Beer Stein Kaiser Wilhelm II
Pewter stein or tankard commemorating the coronation of German Kaiser Wilhelm II. Measures 15 inches in height. It is stamped Kayserzinn #4095. The body of the stein bears the five royal coats of arms of the kingdoms within the Reich, with Prussia in the center. It also has the crests of the other 19 principalities. The lid has a likeness of the young Kaiser with “Wilhelm II Deutscher Kaiser”, his symbol “WII” on top of the pour-spout cover and oak-leaf design on many parts along with the Prussian crown. In very good condition.

Albert Jacob THEWALT, lidded German beer stein. 5L tankard, wonderful high relief Oktoberfest pub scene, exquisitely hand painted. Phrases flank each side of the handle and on banner of pub scene as follows. “Trinkt Menschen Kinder mit Bedacht”. “Was frohlich euch und Y selig macht”. Basic translation similar to Sit here, people and children drink wisely, what frolic makes you and I happy. Thewalt or Wilhelm Kamp era. Impressed marks on underside of footed base. Approximate Height 27 cm. – Base Diameter 10 cm. Only minimal minor age appropriate surface scratches and one small 1 mm spot of glaze rub along face of foot rim having no effect on the presentation of this spectacular estate find. The two color bands at mouth and foot are highly reflective. Light reflections may appear as white areas in photos. Other than the previously mentioned spot of glaze rub, the bands are unblemished.
