Here offered is a mid 20th Century Art Pottery Figural Beer Stein which, I believe, is from the Matthias Girmscheid Pottery Company Germany. This is stamped on the bottom 828 Germany. This shows a comic Monkey in a Top Hat Smog a Pipe. This is in excellent vintage condition with no chips. Cracks, or paint loss. This is 4″ in diameter on the base 5 3/4″ from front to back of handle, and 8 1/4 high. The “Old-German Beer Stein” tag is dated 1960 and was in the Stein when we acquired it from a recent Estate Sale. I do not know if it was original to the Stein or not.
