“Cornell University Graduate Stein”. German ceramic, etched, 1 L, inlaid lid. The text reads: We honor thee Cornell. Mettlach – date code 03 = 120 years old! Condition and Description: Overall a mint condition specimen (exactly as pictured). This is a tremendous stein, with great color, immense presence and displays incredibly well! The base is marked Designed by W. Ackerman” and “Made Exclusively for Rothschild Bros Ithaca. Height: 10.7 tall from base to top of owl thumblift. Width: 5.1 at the base of stein’s body. Antique Vintage Silverplate Cut Glass Strawberry Pattern German Beer Stein Mug
Up for sale is an Antique Victorian Silverplate Cut Glass Strawberry Pattern German Beer Stein Mug from the early 1900s. The stein measures 6 & 3/4 inches to the top of the dome on the lid. The Silverplate metal work is marked TH. There is a small nick at the base of the handle which may have been caused when the area below it was cut. There are some tiny nicks on the honeycomb handle cuts and a slight film on the side of the handle when held to the light. It is engraved 0.5 L on the side. There is a face embossed on the handle. There are no cracks to the glass. There is a ton of west on the base from use.
