This outstanding German beer lidded stein features a 3D sculpt of a wise and cute owl and is adorned with images of various wildlife species from the King Tierwelt series. This stein features a stag, bird, fawn and two owls. One owl in a tree, the other owl within the grotto. The stein is signed in the bottom. It is in very excellent condition, no issues. The stein is made in Germany and ready for display or use. It is a great addition to any breweriana or beer-themed collection, and is sure to impress wildlife enthusiasts with its exquisite design and attention to detail. This beer stein features a unique grotto or cave that is molded into the body with an owl sitting inside. In the scene, you can see bowling pins crashing to the left of a young boy. The steins have a wood grain finish. There is a pewter metal rim on the lid that attaches to a pewter thumb-lift. These steins hold a 1/2 liter. This pair is marked on the underside with “Germany” and the mold number 1134. They are also each marked 1/2 L on the side next to the thumb-lift. The steins are in great condition. There are only minor scuffs to the paint. The insides are clean and ready for use. There are no breaks and no repairs. When surching prising I found this info, but I didn’t find anything close to this Beer Stein. This is an exceptional piece, with the intricate details. Superb hand – made and painted, with a very special medallion in the central part. It is not glazed as the whole beer stein, but made of the very fine porcelain mass – ” biscuit”. It’s required high skills to make almost 3D reliefs panel of a wild Boar head, you can even count the hairs on it, as. Well as the oak leafs on the branches! And a very fine brush strokes with the painting! Very difficult task, to combine different techniques and technology / like burning, gold painting / and materials, to get in the end absolutely perfect result!
