Very Rare Merkelbach – Westerwald WWI german patriot 0,5 l Beer Stein partly hand painted with oak leaves Iron Cross Imperial Crown bayonets, Guns and Flags about 1914. Saying: with god for the emperor and the State (Reich). Mit Gott für Kaiser und Reich. For your consideration today is this super nice very rare and, highly collectable lidded patriot german beer memory stein. WW1 Imperial German Pioneer Battalion Regimental Stein 1910 Named Chip Great
For sale here is great looking Pre WW1 Imperial German Lidded Beer Stein. This stein appears to be for a Pioneer Company that specializes in port and bridge construction. The lid of the stein features a soldier holding a shovel and an anchor. There is also a lion holding a Bayern shield. The lid also has several long inscriptions on it that seem to say “The Brother pushes the glass, long live the reserve man”, and “The one who has served faithfully has dedicated himself to a full glass”. The stein is unit marked Kgl. Pionier Bataillon 1, Comp. The lower rim of the stein appears to be named to Josef Skieswinner. The painted portion of the stein has a large anchor in the center with the number 3 on it. There are pictures of Kaiser Wilhelm and the Regent Prince of Bayern. There are scenes of the pioneers building a bridge underneath of a zeppelin, and a nearly complete bridge on the other side. Interestingly, there appears to be a full roster that lists Unteroffiziers and Pioniers. Most of the paint is in great condition, and everything is legible and clear. The stein is in great shape with some tarnish to the lid, which appears to be a bit off center when it closes. There is a rather large chip in the bottom just before the J of Josef. Inside, the bottom of the stein has one stain, and there is a great relief of a uniformed officer when looked through. This is a beauty! Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. We are offering a very fine German Adolf Diesinger 0.5L pewter lidded beer stein. This stein is in great undamaged condition with the Imperil eagle which was the heraldic symbol of the Holy Roman Empire which existed in Europe from c. 962 until 1250 which represented the church and state. This treaded relief stein is very detailed. The phrase on the center cartouche reads “A clever drinker pockets the house key early in the morning”. WWI Imperial German Regiment Military Field Infantry ½ L Stein c. 1908
Scarce WWI Imperial German 39 Regiment Field Infantry ½ L hand-painted Stein named to Fusl Kruger Rgt. No 39 Dusseldorf 1908. Stein features a pewter lid with seated field soldier and Eagle thumblift; body has embossed soldier with flags and coat of arm displaying # 39, (Niederrheinisches Füsilier Regiment/Rifle Regiment) with hand-painted field infantry scenes. Base is impressed with the mould number 712. Measures 12 ¼ inches tall and is in Excellent antique condition, please note there are two tight non-structural hairlines on the inner base (one does go through to the interior as shown); there is wear to the interior pewter lid at the thumblift as well as a dent at the foot of soldier. There is a small paint flake on the soldier’s cap and crazing commensurate with age, please see all photos. A fine addition to any home or collection! All items come from a smoke free home. STEIN NAMED TO “LEUTNANT OTTO RINECKER” ON BASE. GRAF ZEPPLIN ON SIDE. PEWTER TOP & CONNECTION HAS BAVARIAN LION WITH SHIELD ON THUMB PORTION. EAGLE IN FLIGHT ON TOP. MADE IN GERMANY ON BASE. GREAT REGIMENTAL STEIN-9 1/2 TALL. Transmitted Light Image on Inside Bottom of Mug. Very Small Chip on edge below “N” in Bataillion (see close up picture). The lid doesn’t sit level on the stein. From the bottom to the edge of the lid in the front it measures 6 7/8″ and the back measures 6 3/4″. There’s some glue residue on the handle where it connects to the porcelain. Imperial German 3 Infantry Regiment No. 111 Reservist Lithopane Stein Beer Mug
Title: Imperial German Reservist No. 111 Infantry Regiment Lithopane Stein. Description: Imperial German Infantry Regiment No. 111 Reservist Lithopane Stein. Stein has wonderful colors and wonderful content. Condition: Spider cracks on the bottom. Soldier has been soldered to the pewter lid from the inside. The flap that is above the hinge that opens the stein has been soldered back on as well as the soldering to the seam where the handle connects to the stein. Top and pewter is somewhat loose on stein. Approx Measurements: 11 tall. Like most, I picked up the collecting bug many years ago when I was younger rummaging through the nooks and crannies of my grandparent’s summer house in upstate New York. Today, you can still see me doing the same thing, only I don’t fit through much of those spots anymore but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying the thrill of the hunt. 1911-1913 Imperial German 3rd Bavarian Pioneer 3rd Company Lidded Beer Stein
Here is a very nice Imperial German 3rd Bavarian Pioneer Battalion, 3rd Company lidded beer stein. This very nice stein is hand-painted, with the proper marking present on the bottom of the stein, next to the KR Germany stamp. This stein has a very good railroad engine as an ornament on the lid, with a very classic edelweiss thumb lever. The front of this stein shows the Bavarian In treue Fest! Motto, with an anchor with a crossed shovel and mattock behind it, as well as Bavarian emblems. On the left side is pioneers hard at work building a bridge, and the right side is continued work and use of the bridge. The back does have a painted handle, with the names of the men who served in this company. A lithophane is preset in the bottom of this stein.
