Antique Marzi Remy Gnomes Vines 1L German Etched Beer Stein 1619 Pewter Owl Lid
This is an old German beer stein, app. 11 3/4 inches tall (to top of thumb lift) and 5 inches in diameter at base. Marked on side “1L” and “1619” (Marzi Remy “Gnomes in Vines”). Lid has owl and figural jester thumb lift. Stein has saying Was ist besser als ein Glas? Jedenfalls die volle Mass. Besser auch ist Mass und Ziel, nicht zu wenig, nicht zu viel. What is better than a glass? In any case the full stein/mass (1 liter). Better even is moderation and purpose, not too little, not too much. Very good condition – no chips, cracks or crazing; minor wear; see all 12 pics. Items can be picked up in person at our office. Our home is smoke free. Nice addition to your collection!
