Vintage pair (2) German beer steins, cobalt blue by Marzi & Remy, ideal for hunting lodge or sportsman. The pair is in excellent condition, no scratches, and no chips. A great addition to your breweriana collection, and ready for a festive Octoberfest! A pair of cobalt blue German beer steins. Perfect for a sportsman or hunting lodge. The German wording says: Well aimed is half hit. The mark on the bottom is the “square” version of the impressed stylized potter’s wheel, used from 1879 – 1964. Measurements: 5″ Tall at lid, 3 ½ ” top diameter, 3 ½” diameter at bottom, 6″ handle to opposite side of stein. Both mugs weigh in at: 2 lbs.

Antique German 1751 BEER STEIN Stoneware COBALT BLUE SALT GLAZE Tankard Mug
Nice antique lidded German Stein. 1751 date mark near handle. I believe this stein is likely late 19th century or early 20th century based on one originally made in 1751. Good condition on this one. The characters here are executed very nicely, they are particularly realistic. The work is a bit better than on many I think. There is a short line of poetry on either side. It roughly translates to: “Put your problems out of mind, Don’t worry about tomorrow” or “Don’t worry, be happy”. I’ll be listing about half a dozen or more German salt glaze steins all from the same estate collection in the coming days and weeks. Please check my other listings.
