German Zur Erinnerung meine Dienstzeit soldier & lady Lithophany lid M. Loffler
German lidded beer stein. Says on the top Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit. On the bottom is the name M. 9 1/2 inches tall. This one has such a great lithography on the bottom it is a army soldier with his sweetheart. Very nice collectable stein and getting to be quit rare. Tons to look at on this stein. SALESMAN SAMPLE Stoneware GERMAN BEER Stein STUDENT CAT GES GESCH 030 Ca. 1880
It is a figural “Student Cat” mold design. It is stamped GES. 030 on the bottom. 4″ high x 1-7/8″ dia. I did some research and it appears this piece is circa 1880. This old piece is in amazing condition. The only minor issue is a glaze flake on the bottom rim approx. 1/8 wide (under the cat’s left foot). CRACKS, HAIRLINE CRACKS, OR REPAIRS. It has the usual manufacturing characteristics found on OLD salt glaze / stoneware i. Pits, pops, glaze skips, rubs, runs, bubbles, glaze separations, staining, crazing, and wrinkles & lines in glaze. PLEASE VIEW PICTURES CLOSELY FOR DETAILS & CONDITION AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. Guaranteed OLD & AUTHENTIC and NOT A REPRODUCTION.
