The stein features a figural design of woodsmen enjoying a drink. It is approximately 1/2 liter in capacity. The item bears the marking “Gesetzlich Geschutzt” and is believed to date back to the early 1900s. The stein was manufactured by Merkelbach & Wick in Germany and is in great condition for its age. With deep cut star to the bottom. The original silver plating is excellent condition as well as the high quality metalwork of the mount. It measures almost 7 in height, 5 ½” across with the handle and 3 ½” in diameter to the bottom, it weighs 720 grams or 25.40 oz. We follow international regulations. 1800’s Hand Painted German Beer Stein For Judge Von Mandelsloh Porcelain & Glass. Beautiful Hand Painted German Beer Stein For a Judge Ms. Wagemann with the Mandelsloh Family Crest painted on the lid. The glass has a lot of chipping along the bottom edge where it was obviously used many times at the beer hall back in the late 1800’s. It looks to be dated from 1881/1882. The top is all hand painted. The stein is about 6 1/2 tall. Montclair estates has used its best efforts to inspect the item(s) for sale and create descriptions and furnish photographs that fairly and adequately depict the type, condition and image of the goods at the time of sale.
