Antique 1800’s handmade Westerwald German pottery pewter lidded beer stein mug
Up for sale is a nice quality antique lidded Westerwald German pottery beer stein. It’s made out of thick pottery walls and has a blue and white design done in high relief depicting figural scenes throughout. The stein has an ornate handle which is mounted with a hinged pewter lid along with a large stylized acorn thumb-piece. It is also engraved with the initials M. It is in good condition and measures 7 1/2 inches tall by 5 3/4 inches long.

This antique lidded Regimental stein is a true piece of history. Made in Germany in the late 1800s, this Lithopane beer stein is a rare find for collectors of drinkware and steins. The Stein features the symbol of an Infantry Regiment, For Anton Fischer who was part of the 3. The Lithopane is unique of a partially unclothed woman. A PORTION OF THE CANON IS MISSING FROM THE TOP.
Antique 1800s German Cut Glass Beer Stein Pewter & Hand-Painted Porcelain Lid
Very heavy, has polished pontil, applied handle. Measures 6.5 to top of handle. I left the pewter unpolished as it has a great patina. Please examine the pictures closely as this is an antique piece and it has signs of use. Also the porcelain lid has some paint loss, there are scratches to bottom, scratches to sides, it’s old. Charming mid 1800s German Faience Beer Stein 1L Rearing Horse Scene Pewter Lid. Presented is a charming antique German lidded beer stein, dating to the mid 1800s. This stein is white glazed faience pottery, with a colorful scene on the front of a rearing horse over a hill, against a blue sky, all done in a charmingly stylized yet distinct style. The lid and foot rim are pewter. This stein has a generous capacity of a full liter (1000 milliliters/33.8 fluid ounces), with plenty of headspace for foam. This piece is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The underside of the stein is signed with incised initials that look like KZ. Inside the lid are the letter IH (or HI, depending on orientation). The stein stands about 9 5/8 inches to the top of the lid and measures about 5 1/8 inches in diameter at the base, or about 7 ½ inches from the handle to the front.
